End Tables ~ Transformation
Ever look at a piece of furniture and say ‘ I like that but it’s not the right colour’. Here’s a great example and I will show you some simple steps to recycle a piece of furniture and make it work in your space.
I found these two end tables at my favourite secondhand store and brought them into the studio. This is the trick when your shopping second hand, you have to look past everything else and just see them for what they could be. (more…)
Sweet Dreams – Bedroom makeover’s
You know that story about the shoemaker that has no shoes. This is kinda like that story. Busy decorating other people’s spaces and not having the time to do my own house. Finally getting down to business and taking care of the kids rooms. I really wanted to switch the kids bedrooms in our house. Our son’s room was now going to be our daughters room and our daughter was moving into our son’s old room. We live in a 80 year old house and the walls have the old plaster. Eventually over time…. She’s a Lady ~ The Empress Hotel Victoria, British Columbia
Whenever we travel to British Columbia to see family which by far is the best part of visiting Victoria. One of our favourite things to do is make a stop into ‘The Empress’; one of the oldest and most famous hotels in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. It’s located on Government Street facing the inner Harbour. The hotel is well known for its classic Victorian afternoon tea service with tea sandwiches, fresh scones, preserves and clotted cream known as Empress cream in its ‘Tea Room’.
