10 Ways to show some love this Mothers Day!
- Sleep can be the most important beauty regimen, and why not channel Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s. These Eye Masks add the most decadent style to sleeping. There’s black out blinds and rooms are dark for a reason, they give you the most restful sleep!!
- Buy Mom a new Bodum Coffee Press… and here’s a great tip for making the best coffee. After you add the coffee grounds, pour water in the Bodum, STIR then let sit for 7 minutes THEN press and your good to go! This particular one I found on pinterest from Christoper Bean Coffee but go to your local kitchen or coffee shop and purchase one. Support local is always good!
3. Make Mom a handmade card. … Here’s one that is super cute and stickers from the dollar store will provide the hearts <3
4. Breakfast in Bed! Who doesn’t love a tray filled with loving spoonfuls of whatever it is you make us. I don’t care what it is, the fact that little hands made it and put it together says a lot right there. Presentation is everything; here’s some simple things to make your breakfast tray more special. Put some flowers on your tray, add a touch of the unexpected like putting the bacon in a glass standing up. Use a special plate, or dish not used very often to add some flare. Attention to detail never disappoints here’s some examples of great presentations for breakfast trays …

Easy Recipe: Mini Pancake Stacks
Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 3/4 cup whole milk or buttermilk
- 1 cup Stonewall Kitchen Buttermilk or Farmhouse Pancake & Waffle Mix
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- Stonewall Kitchen Lemon Curd
- 12 Raspberries
- 12 Blueberries
- 24 Small mint leaves
- 24 Toothpicks
- Confectioner’s sugar
Instructions
- Beat egg and milk together in a medium bowl. Add pancake mix and blend well. Stir in melted butter and mix thoroughly.
- Heat griddle to 350 degrees F. Spoon 3/4 teaspoon pancake batter onto hot griddle for each mini cake. Cook until golden brown on each side. Pancakes should be about the size of a quarter.
- Stack cakes four high. Top with a small dollop of Lemon Curd, a raspberry or blueberry and a small mint leaf. Dust with confectioner’s sugar. Stick a toothpick through the stack to serve.

5. Read, watch movies and chill in bed all day…..a girl can dream 😉 … Maybe new sheets are the perfect gift for your mom!
6. Pick up the latest design magazine from House & Home! Or better yet buy her a subscription 🙂
7. Great idea to do with the kids. Pick up some small spice jars at your local dollar store and fill them with ‘Hand Written Love notes’ …. super special and unique your mom. She can store them with the notes in them or take the notes out and then use the jars for actual spices.
8. Busy mom know all about lots of bits and pieces of toys that can show up anywhere and everywhere. Purchase a 1 gallon apothecary glass jar and fill it with all the small toys that seem to reproduce as your reading this. Once they are all gathered together just put the jar where your kids can see them and when they get bored – pull something out! Young kids love this and moms will too!
9. Water Jug – Keep it in the Fridge, add some lemon’s and limes and easy spout so kids can help themselves. In the summer time replace the water with Sangria for Mom and Dad, not the kids lol
