End Tables ~ Transformation

Ever look at a piece of furniture and say ‘ I like that but it’s not the right colour’.   Here’s a great example and I will show you some simple steps to recycle a piece of furniture and make it work in your space.

I found these two end tables at my favourite secondhand store and brought them into the studio.  This is the trick when your shopping second hand, you have to look past everything else and just see them for what they could be.  Not everyone can do it but try and visualize what they could look like redone, spruced up and put to use in a new space.  Can’t see it ok just keep reading 🙂

I brought these two pieces home, removed the old hardware then sanded them down ….

After the sanding I painted them with ‘wrought iron’ by Benjamin Moore 2124-10.  I choose the grey because it’s a great neutral colour for resale and right now grey is hot. Plus I just liked the colour 🙂

Replaced the old hardware on the left with something a little be more interesting …. glass knobs on the right.  Similar glass knobs can be found from Restoration Hardware
